Fixing Melbourne's Transport

24th August 2018
1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
60 Leicester Street
We tend to think of transport fixes in terms of infrastructure – we have congestion so we need to build more and more of it. But is the problem really congestion or is it one of excessive mobility and travel created by the way we have developed our city and the way we operate our transport system?

This forum will examine the systemic problems confronting Melbourne’s transport and the legacy business as usual will leave in the future. It will also present ideas on how to change the system and present a framework for change. The final session will be conducted as a workshop in which members of the audience will be invited to participate and contribute their ideas.
